Background:
On the heels of Damien Rice's tremendously successful spring U.S. tour, in which the singer-songwriter sold out prestigious theatres across the country, Damien's US label Vector Recordings will release Damien Rice B-Sides on August 3. In line with demand for availability of this record in Ireland, Damien's Irish label, DRM will release the EP here in Ireland on August 13th.
The EP consists of 7 previously released b-side single tracks, including live favourites not available on his acclaimed debut 'O', as well as 1 bonus radio remix track of "Cannonball" unavailable on single in Ireland.
Rice continues to earn vast critical praise for 'O', which has been deemed one of the best releases of 2003 by Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, People,
Blender, NPR and many others. Along with this Rice hit his highest position at #8 in the UK album charts this week while still remaining strong at #12 in the Irish
Album charts two years after its release.
