Paddy Casey confirmed for Meteor Awards
Paddy Casey has been confirmed to perform at this year's Meteor Ireland
Music Awards at the Point Theatre on 24 February.
Casey will join Snoop Dogg, Westlife, The Thrills, Lucie Silvas, Brian
McFadden, Delta Goodrem, Bell x1, Juliette Lewis & The Licks, Declan
O'Rourke, The Devlins and Aslan in this year's lineup.
Casey claimed the award for Best Irish Male at last year's Meteor Ireland
Music Awards. He is nominated in the same category again this year.
The Meteor Ireland Music Awards will be televised by RTÉ and shown on RTÉ
Two on Sunday 27 February at 9pm.
Tickets for the show are still on sale, priced €30.

Paddy Casey will tour the UK in the new year prior to the release of
'Living' in February 2005.
In between supporting Tom Baxter on his recent tour, Paddy has been playing
a residency at the infamous Boogaloo pub, Highgate. As the crowd has
rapidily grown each time, the last show was so busy that the doors had to be
closed long before Paddy was due to perform, leaving a long queue of fans
outside. Paddy will return to the UK for a headline tour throughout January.

Paddy Casey has announced that he will perform at Spring & Airbrake, Belfast
on 10 December. This date is in addition to Paddy’s previously announced
dates at the Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney on 29 December and the RDS Main
Hall, Dublin on 30 December.
After the success of Saints And Sinners, Lucky One, and Want It Can't Have
It, Paddy is set to release new single Living, the title track from his
multi-platinum second album. The single will also feature Paddy’s own
brilliant take on Outkast’s Hey Ya, recorded live on the Ray D’Arcy Show.

Paddy Casey rounds off his chart-topping year with a two post-Christmas
dates - December 29 at the INEC, Killarney and December 30 at the RDS Main
Hall in Dublin.
With 90,000 copies of his Living album residing in Irish record collections,
it's no surprise that his recent Irish tour was a complete sell-out and had
to be extended to include five nights in the Olympia.

Irish singer-songwriter Paddy Casey has confirmed he will be playing a
number of dates around the UK in support of his forthcoming single release.
Paddy Casey will be releasing a brand new version of ‘Saints & Singers’ in
the UK in January 2005. The single is backed by a new track ‘Re Light’ and a
demo version of ‘Don’t Need Anyone’. The album ‘Living’ will also be
re-released in the New Year.

for September. Paddy will play the Olympia Theatre, Dublin on 7 and 8

widely-acclaimed second album, Living. It is the fourth single to be

Paddy is playing The Olympia, Dublin on September 4th & 5th 2004.
Paddy has agreed to stand in as DJ for
John Walsh's FM104 Sunday show on July 24th. The 3hr special goes out
between 10pm and 1am on the 24th.
It has just been confirmed that Paddy
will play his first Scotland gig since May when he takes the stage at 'Drop
Kick Murphy's' Bar in Edinburgh on Wednesday August 25th.
The gig comes during the time of the Edinburgh Festival. You can purchase

"Whatever Gets You True," the first single from Amen (So Be It), is currently receiving strong airplay internationally and is now available for free download, in its entirety, on Casey's website (http://www.paddycasey.com/download).
24-year-old Paddy Casey has been playing gigs on the streets of his hometown Dublin since he picked up the guitar at 12. Casey's widely acclaimed debut album, recorded in just eight days and co-produced by Paddy, reached the Top 20 and achieved platinum sales in Ireland. Amen (So Be It) earned Paddy a Best Album award at the Irish World Awards and nominations for Best Irish Songwriter and Best Male Singer at the prestigious Hot Press Awards. Paddy was voted Most Promising Act while Amen (So Be It) was voted Best Debut Album in the Hot Press year-end reader's poll; he was also nominated in seven other categories. Amen (So Be It) combines elements of not only folk, rhythm & blues, rock, jazz and gospel, but funk, electronics and even hip-hop (one of his goals is to open for Public Enemy).
